Another superb, thought provoking article. Kudos to you Cameron!!
I hear what you saying, I wished I heard it years ago.

Dude your blog should be the first resource to read for anyone wanting to improve in this area of their lives. Not the Game, Mystery Method, DYD and alike. It will save years and effort.
Get your SEO down man!!

Excellent post, Cameron. The community is something to dip your feet into, not a place to live. Pick up a few skills, improve your attitude, and start towards being the best person you can be. But you stay there, and it will destroy you.

I'm in the best relationship in my life, with a beautiful, sexy, incredibly smart girl (Ph.D. from one of the top universities in the country) -- definitely a high value person -- and I would have never gotten her if I had use routines or canned lines or any of that crap. (And it is crap.) I attracted her by making the most of myself, trying to live a life that maximized my journey towards my higher self, and trying to be the best Dave I could be. I've used some stuff from the community, not as a means to control or manipulate her, but to understand her needs, wants, and subtext, in order to advance our relationship and our connection. But mostly it's been about being open, honest, and direct.

Gary, the fact that you say that you are stuck in 6 and 7 heaven sends off warning signs. That you think of women in terms of numbers may be a symptom of something else. I'm no expert, but if you've been doing this for that long, and it's not working and you haven't walked away, there might be some other issue.

This article really resonates with me as well. I have been at this for four years now and its still a real hard struggle. I have purchased Cameron's products (they are top notch), been to a few major bootcamps, had consultations but I still cannot attract the women I truly want. It seems like I am stuck in 6 and 7 heaven (when ever I am able to pickup) for the rest of my life. I had really high hopes for all this self help stuff. Its been very discouraging.

Loved this post.

Actually, I enjoy most of your writing, but this one particuarly resonated with me.

I consider myself a success story, even though objectively, there are tons of guys who get laid more than me.

Oddly enough the turning point came at another company's bootcamp. The instructor said, "you're likable, but you aren't cool and until you're cool, women will never go out with you."

I remember thinking: Wait a minute...I LIKE who I am. Which was more than I could say for one of the instructors, who had everything I thought I wanted, but struck me as a deeply unhappy person.

It was devastating, but liberating at the same time. Because for the first time, I realized I was the authority on my own life and ultimately, I had to answer to myself, instead of basing my life choices on what some other guy said.
