Very good post... as I understand it, not a criticism of trying to improve one's game as much as warning men to do so without losing themselves.
An excellent point to bring up, and I commend the author.
Not sure if I agree with the dislike of "fashion."
He seems to be a genuinely decent guy that wants to help men get better at the game.
He harshly examined himself, and made a lot of brave choices to learn and get better.
I met him at a signing of one of his books, (unrelated to pickup), and unlike countless other book signings, was willing to field questions about, and sign materials completely unrelated to the that particular tome.
I just stumbled on this site today - I'm planning on perusing more of the material!

I missed my normal friends. I went back to them. At the back of my mind is the feeling of 'What if?'; the feeling on top of the rooftop as the woman falls. I know it well...

I think being normal again has taken longer than becoming a PUA.

I liked the post, really, as I agree that the pickup community is a little retarded but checking the frontage and seeing a bunch of photos of you with the very same pickup artists you mentioned here makes me think you're full of shit.

You are as credible as a politician promising to lower taxes.

Using words like “MPUA, AFC, PU” Still?

Some of the posts on the Blog attempt to help prevent good/normal men from turning into people like you. By the way, the people who turn neurotic do so, because they fall into the mindset of your heroes, whom I seem to have insulted.

Nevertheless, you’ve had TWO lengthy posts to get on your soap box and say your piece. You got your chance to call me all sorts of names.

I do wonder, however, why do you read the BLOG? Spend that time helping out “Brothers” in the field. (You refer to them as “Brothers” and accuse of wanting a cult?)

We do agree on 1 thing: NLP's results (or rather creepiness) do speak for themselves. OK, you're forbidden from reading my blog starting tomorrow, Dr. Who .

Cameron, I especially have grief with the fact that you're blatantly insulting and discrediting those MPUAs such as Mystery, while you're showing off their pictures and quotes on your main page and using the fact that you've met them to gain credibility. It's just pathetic and backstabbing, man.

Not that I'm defending those commercial guys (and chodes like Neil Strauss), but your methods are questionable. As for me being your customer, well, I have my game together and I learned all I needed to learn from great guys who became my friends and would teach me for free, directly in field or indirectly through providing me with materials. I'd do the same for any brother out there. Paying for something that's free is just nonsense. Maybe I'd become your customer if I wanted to become an AFC again.

Funny thing about 2000s is that any guy who gets laid twice after a dry spell thinks he's got seduction right and became a seduction expert; creates his own "method" and tries to sell that method to the world. Ridiculous.

As for guys who experience neurosis and identity crisis, those guys were messed up in the head even before learning about PU for all I know. I don't know a single player who went "nuts" after learning how to be good with women. You were probably referring to those poor guys who pay for ridiculously expensive bootcamps, buying useless CDs and shit, adopting the mentality of their MASTERS and somehow managing to fuck up their mindset.

PU opened door to a very beautiful reality for many men, reality of optimism, abundance and RESULTS.

As for NLP... results speak for themselves.

Dear Dr. Who:

(You want to be taken seriously, and you call yourself Dr. Who? Seriously, man? If you're chicken to use a real first name, make one up. John or Bob would work.)

You and everyone else is free to use any resource. Fastseduction is a great site run by two friends of mine, Jay and Ray. You're not obligated to buy anything from me, and truth be told, I would not coach someone like you even if you offered to pay my fees.

Pure facts and science from the 90s? What would you be referring to? The pseudo/junk science of NLP and its promise to Speed-Seduce a woman? By all means, go for it. :-)

There is no shortage of advice on dating and I've been through the gamut. You're free to run the course yourself, spend 5 or 6 years trying to discover what's legit and what's not.

And please, don't insult my Blog readers. Most of the guys who read the Blog have already been through the freaky/neurotic part of the community experience. OK, Dr. Who. I've wasted enough time on your fantasies.

Take it easy,

(PS. If you'd read the Blog more carefully, you'd have noticed Formhandle and Fastseduction mentioned.)

I agree in that seduction community makes some guys really weird. It has become awfully commercialized in the past 5 years and it seems more like a cult than anything else. The cult mentality especially extends to guys who pay for those ridiculous bootcamps, wasting their time and money listening to some guy on ego trip.

However... you, Cameron, are NO DIFFERENT from those MPUAs. For a second I though "wow, this guy sees the light", but then I went on your main page and realized you're only trying to sell products. You're the SAME as all those egotripped commercial guys out there, and this is a nice gimmick to distract guys from going on FREE sites like fastseduction.

In fact, many community guys are pretty selfless in what they do. Have you ever read old original ASF posts from the 90s? Just a bunch of men trying to get good with women, sharing their results and trying to convey knowledge to one another. No cult mentality (well except for RJ), no MPUAs, no bullshit. Just pure facts and science.

You DUDE, are using some fucked up psychology with this story, to keep guys from free sites like mASF, trying to build your own cult right here with some weak minded guys who have no clue what you're doing to their heads.

You're no different than Tyler, Mystery and others these days (although they were good before they went commercial).

Now go and delete my comment, because you can't handle a little criticism, like all other MPUA ego maniacs out there, it'll just show that I'm right and that you're having an agenda here.

Reading this as a big, flashing reminder of the whole point behind the journey I am undertaking and what it's about. It's being yourself, understanding what your strong and weak points are and how to deal with them. The issue is not fashion per sè, even if it is important to be clean and to know how to make the most of your physique. Carlos Xuma says this in one of his ebooks: "Always take example from people who have what you want in life". If you don't stop to look at the girls as just another object you interact with in your life, then you'll be able to spot the people you really want to learn from.
