Shit ! I’ve been uncounsiously guilty of that.
These little 2 sentences are a real eye-opener for me.

I’m a chilled guy. I don’t like to raise my voice, unless I have to. I love talking about philosophy and history and arts, as well as fucking around and shootin the shits.

Awhile back as I was hanging out, I saw this large group of tourist girls with only 3 guys; one lead dog and the rest, remoras. The lead dog was in high-octane energy state! I mean this guy was a big mouth frat-boy kind-of-a-guy and was in control of everybody. For that, I admired him. And I mentally applauded his antics.

However, I came to the realization that to have some-type of success – in the club arena – I would have to become kinda like that. But for all the great pussy that he “might” have gotten that night, he also made me think twice about that, (sorry for the crude language that’s coming up) and I asked myself, “Why the fuck WOULD I wanna be like him, when I am me and he is him?!” I like my chilled self and the way I operate.

Man, it’s like you said and have written before, you have to come to terms with yourself and finally be comfortable in your own skin.

That night provided me that. I started not to care anymore about the club scene because it’s not my scene. I mean don’t get me wrong, I still go once in awhile, but my bread and butter is where I shine – Low energy places that allow me to have great conversations (because by the way, I do consider myself to be a great conversationalist) – that’s away from all of the distraction of loud music and drunk people and yadi yadi yada… you get the point… cause that’s where my strength lies.

Next time you go out, do not have any expectations as far as picking up a girl or trying to make people like you. Be friendly with everyone, if they are not in return just accept that as how they are at the moment. Having no expectations naturally brings out confidence and it is hard to lose your positive attitude.

Make sure your going out to have a good time, you cant fake being happy and friendly, it will make you stressed and miserable. Your just out to have fun and “bull shit” with people.” No need for being serious in a social environment meant for having fun. Keep that attitude through out the night.

What happens usually here is that this person goes out with a very positive attitude and starts creating small talk with anyone that is around him. The positive side of his personality is shining and his confidence only climbs as he meets more and more people. Some of these people may happen to be attractive women. Whoops, she thinks your cute, funny, interesting, etc…. so on and so forth.

We have had so much good feedback with this we are starting to think these guys are pulling our leg when they tell us the results.

We may have to take into consideration that most of these guys are decently calibrated socially in the first place, but none the less, Cameron lays it out poetically for all to understand.

Your post reminds me of an old saying. (Not sure of the source.)

But when being rejected, a common thought is, “That’s why they make 31 flavors.”

The idea is that you may be the very BEST pistachio ice cream in the world, but if she likes vanilla, or isn’t in the mood for ice cream at all, then you’re not going far. It has nothing to do with you, your technique, direct, etc. You just might be be the “flavor” she likes.

That’s why Cameron’s style of keeping it light and playing with everyone in the room is very smart. He’s being social, fun, not too invested, and mingling. If a girl finds him attractive, she’ll let him know.

Think of the old “lock and key” parties of the 1970′s. (An old type of ice breaker.) Every girl got a padlock, every guy got a key and you had to run around to find your “match”. Even if you and that girl didn’t get along, it was a great excuse to talk to everyone.

Now take it a step further and forget about the physical lock and key. The idea still holds. “Lets see if we match. If not, thanks, I’m on to next woman to see if she matches.”
