I’ve heard one dating coach spewing forth as if they were the last word on modern techniques of war, farming techniques in ancient Egypt, and several other topics within 10 minutes,

Another, a financial guru, would just talk and talk and talk, pretending great expertise, on any and every subject that ever came up.

Nothing is out of their league.

I’ve seen this red velvet sports coat wearing super star around…he likes to hang with weirdos and not talk to girls. Yea, he should really be a “coach”…if only people knew what and who they are really paying…and getting in return!

I think one of the things that makes us fall for the guru is that we reach a level of frustration on something that we just decide to outsource responsibility to someone else. My theory is that we place all our faith in some individual and hope that no one would be so evil as to willingly deceive us. However, one of the scariest things I’ve realized with the guru is that most of them are not aware of how clueless and deceitful they are.

Indeed, the guru phenomenon can be even worse outside the seduction community. Like in religion and spirituality. I’ve met a few of those. And when those two meet? I remember seeing some guy online that taught seduction with spirituality sprinkled in… Oh boy!

I’ve met the two guys you speak of, but I’ll have to take your word for it. As the Lifestyle coach with that particular truism, you got it!

Matt, true. Regarding the guru epidemic: we need not think small. The magnitude of this goes dwarfs the seduction community. There are plenty of “Gurus” out there on a much bigger scale.

An acquaintance was just telling me about the tale of the Buddha-boy in India, and what a farce that is. The Seduction community, man, that’s small potatos. It’s a microcosm of a much bigger issue, as you’ll see in the next article.
