{"id":2096,"date":"2010-05-11T14:52:03","date_gmt":"2010-05-11T21:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/attractwomenanywhere.com\/blog\/?p=2096"},"modified":"2010-05-30T22:13:22","modified_gmt":"2010-05-31T05:13:22","slug":"the-preferred-response","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/attractwomenanywhere.com\/blog\/2010\/05\/11\/the-preferred-response\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;Preferred Response&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Phone Texts to Girls<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>The &#8220;Preferred Response Line&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0When you read dating advice, it\u2019s important to keep things in perspective and be able to distinguish as to what represents your personality.\u00a0 It\u2019s also important to have fun and experiment based on your specific personality.<\/p>\n<p>Personalities come in a wide range: Some people are a bit sarcastic, others have a very dry sense of humor, and hey, some people have no personality.<\/p>\n<p>In the last article on texting, I discussed \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/attractwomenanywhere.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/16\/camerons-ladder-of-communication\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Ladder of Communication.<\/a>\u201d That was just fun a little gimmick meant to act as a preemptive strike.\u00a0 That may or may not fit your persona, but nevertheless, keep in mind the importance of a little experimentation.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing that I started trying with texts was what I call the \u201cPreferred Response Line.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019m sure some dating coaches or \u201cPick Up Artists\u201d would call it a method of gaining compliance, but really for me, it was meant as a way not to have my time wasted.<\/p>\n<p>You can use it to flirt and you can use it to establish boundaries. \u00a0Here is an example of a flirtatious one:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Example 1. [Flirting through Sexual Innuendo.]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Girl&#8217;s text to me: \u00a0Yada, yada, yada,\u00a0 C.\u00a0 [Note that she refers to me as \u201cC\u201d]<\/p>\n<p>Me: You know, <em>I\u2019d prefer if you wrote my name out, and even more preferable, \u00a0if you MOANED it. ;-)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Her next text:\u00a0 <em>\u201cOk, Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam baby.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The above example can also be categorized under a &#8220;How to Flirt&#8221; to article, but that&#8217;s not the focus right now.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fun to flirt and create a sexual vibe.\u00a0 Then I thought why not apply that sort of \u201cPreferred\u201d response to other areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Example 2:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scenario:\u00a0 I text a girl to invite her to a social \u201cHappy-Hour\u201d event on Wednesday .<\/p>\n<p>-My text:\u00a0 Hey, next Wed is blah, blah\u2026\u00a0 you should come with\u2026. Etc, etc.<\/p>\n<p>-She:\u00a0 <em>Not sure.\u00a0 Let\u2019s talk wed afternoon, and I\u2019ll let you know.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-My text verbatim: <em>OK, for future reference, the preferred response is, \u201cthat\u2019s sounds fun.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to go with you Cameron :-)\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here is the amazing part: Normally, it took this particular girl about 10-15 min to return a text.\u00a0 It was weird, as though she had some sort of an egg-timer on her oven that she set to 15 minutes before she could return a text.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So it was surprising to see a reply back from her within 30 seconds.\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe she lost her egg-timee?\u00a0\u00a0 It definitely broke her normal sms-text pattern.<\/p>\n<p>She:\u00a0<em> I\u2019d love to go with you Cameron!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nice, this is awesome!\u00a0 Wish I would have started asking for preferred response sooner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>So is there a point?\u00a0 Well, I guess if there had to be one, it\u2019s learn to ask for what the fuck you want and don\u2019t be so ashamed about it.\u00a0 Establish a standard for yourself and stick with it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3<sup>rd<\/sup> example:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Girl I\u2019ve met has a weird work schedule.\u00a0 Needs to make plans in advance.\u00a0 I\u2019m cool with that. She really likes advance plans though.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re planning a date for next Tuesday.\u00a0 It\u2019s only wed right now, so this is really advanced planning. \u00a0It&#8217;s a bit out of the norm for me. Let\u2019s resume the texting at that point of the plan:<\/p>\n<p>Me:\u00a0<em> Sounds good. Tuesday eve works for both of us. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>She: <em>OK.\u00a0 Why don\u2019t we talk on Mon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Me:\u00a0 <em>That\u2019s not really my style, babe. I\u2019d like to see you on Tue if you are free.\u00a0 Otherwise\u2026..<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She: <em>That\u2019s not my style either\u2026.\u00a0\u00a0 Tue sounds good!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Really??? \u00a0That&#8217;s not her style? \u00a0Sure could have fooled me.<\/p>\n<p>Men and women both play games.\u00a0 Sometimes women feel compelled to play these games and if you befriend girls, they\u2019ll admit so much to you.\u00a0 They\u2019ll literally tell you things you always suspected, such as, \u201c<em>I\u2019m going to wait 3 days to call him back<\/em>\u201d or <em>\u201cI didn\u2019t kiss him even though I REALLY wanted to<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(Sidebar: Again, why it&#8217;s important to have female friends. \u00a0It gives you a perspective into their world as well.)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not always malicious nor is it sinister, but it is the way it is.\u00a0 The burden of circumventing this issue falls on your shoulders. \u00a0 Again, you\u2019re the man, you have the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">masculine energy<\/span>, you take charge, and <strong>YOU LEAD!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Will this ALWAYS work perfectly?\u00a0 Not necessarily.\u00a0 Then again, this is not MEANT as a tactic or a means to be slick.\u00a0 It\u2019s meant to be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a code of conduct<\/em><\/span>, the way you live your life, exemplified in the manned in which you carry yourself.<\/p>\n<p>By doing this, you build strength from the inside.\u00a0 This goes back to theme of building that foundational strength, which is an absolute must-read article on this blog:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/attractwomenanywhere.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/22\/strength-is-generated-from-within\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Strength is Generated from Within<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cpreferred response line\u201d is a bit tactical. \u00a0I&#8217;m giving you what is basically a maneuver to implement as part of a strategy to use to create the results you want.\u00a0 I shared it with another dating-coach, one of the very few whose knowledge I respect,\u00a0 and he had fantastic results with it as well.<\/p>\n<p>However, always remember that this bit of strategy is just one piece in a greater picture, and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">that greater picture is establishing ground rules for what you will or will not tolerate. <\/span>It\u2019s also the ground rules for taking the lead in this situations to short-circuiting the game playing that goes on in dating a bit.<\/p>\n<p>There is one more piece to this puzzle that I\u2019m going to explain thoroughly in the next blog post.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to clear a lot of the confusion you\u2019ve been having in the Dating-World..
